The ADXA focus is on DX'ing and Contesting.  We meet monthly on Zoom and in-person for great conversation followed by catching up on each other's activities.

At the in-person meeting, we have a presentation on the technical or operational aspects of being better DX'ers and Contesters.  We focus on excellence in all aspects of ham radio, seeking to refine or learn new concepts for use at our stations.

We welcome all hams interested in the hobby who seek similar life-long learning goals.  We're especially happy to mentor hams of all ranges of experience in various radio disciplines.  We offer our presentations to other local clubs and often give them at other hamfests/conventions throughout the Southwest U.S.

We operate the ARRL Field Day, consistently placing in the Top 20 in our category. W5UR finished in first place in 1F in FD 2018; first place in 6A in FD 2012 - which was 4th place in the overall top 10 claimed scores. We placed in the top 10 in class in 2024, 2025, as well. We welcome anyone interested in operating our Get On The Air (GOTA) station.  We especially welcome operators for the New Mexico QSO Party where we have won the most counties activated and the highest scoring club categories numerous times.

We have a member who is an authorized QSL card checker, numerous large and small contest winners, on the DXCC Honor Roll, plus some who have operated DXpeditions.  We welcome you to learn from those who have "been there and done that" and want to share their experiences.
