General interest amateur radio club founded in 1927.
We have a station in the Los Angeles Maritime Museum. Members can operate it for free, HF bands with a high mounted multi-band beam with rotator. Digital, Phone and CW modes. Great station for DX contacts.
2M net weekly on Tuesdays, 2000 local time, on the W6MEP repeater: 147.240+, PL67.
Field Day operations every year from a San Pedro location near the ocean for cool temperatures. Members and Non-members are welcome.
